Inpatient pediatrics is a management service available to primary care physicians who are unable to follow their patients needing admission to Children’s Hospital. In-house pediatricians accept and admit patients referred from these physicians. The primary care physician is kept informed of the patient’s progress to ensure continuity of care. Upon discharge, patients are then returned to their referring physician for follow-up care.
